Jamie Prunty is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. His experience includes working in a specialized autism clinic in Houston where he worked with students to meet social and behavioral goals. He also assisted school professionals in the Fort Bend Independent School District in behavioral testing and treatment plans for students. He completed his internship in a psychiatric hospital for the University of Texas Medical Branch leading group therapy for adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety and/or severe mental illness. Upon completion of the licensure, Jamie moved to the individual setting treating adults who were diagnosed with major depression, anxiety, and severe mental illness. Most recently he worked in a community setting to assist first responders and law enforcement with crisis assessment in Austin.
Jamie earned both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology. He became fully licensed in 2011 and has since practiced full-time treating a diverse array of children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with mental illness ranging from mild to severe. Those Prunty has treated include individuals diagnosed with Developmental disorders, mood, anxiety, Bipolar disorder, and Schizophrenia. He has experience working in outpatient, inpatient, and crisis settings.
