Anxiety is a way that our body responds to stress. It is an overwhelming feeling of apprehension about what one feels might come. Also, one can learn helpful techniques to reduce anxiousness in counseling. Techniques can be useful in helping to distract thoughts and reduce anxiety symptoms. These include stress and relaxation techniques, visual imagery, deep breathing and grounding techniques. Anxiety can affect you at any age. Remember that anxiety is treatable and there are professionals that can help you.
