Being a parent is never easy and at times it can feel overwhelming. When it feels as if you’ve tried everything to help your child or teen and they’re still doing poorly in school, arguing, breaking rules, hiding in their room, or worrying about everything, I can help. I work with parents to understand the meaning behind these behaviors, whether it’s ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, or something else, by providing assessment and therapy services. My goal is to create a safe environment where we can grow the strengths your family and child already possess and help you learn new skills to overcome life’s challenges. I meet my clients where they are by using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, family therapy, and play therapy.
I love getting creative with clients and figuring out the strategies that will work best for you and your child. I earned my M.A. and Psy.D in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Indianapolis and my B.A. in Psychology at Gannon University. I have experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient clinics, as well as residential and therapeutic school settings. My training includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health issues; including but not limited to ADHD, ODD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and trauma related disorders, family disruptions, and substance abuse. However, I also believe that children are more than their diagnosis and work to help all the children I treat live up to their full potential.
