Alexandria Ortiz is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced working with adults, children, and families. Alexandria has worked with individuals experiencing varying degrees of trauma, drug and alcohol use, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, anger management, and a variety of other problems. Alexandria believes in drawing from a variety of techniques and believes that there is no "one size fits all" modality of treatment. Using a client-centered approach, she works on developing an authentic and trusting relationship and draws from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy as well as focusing on mindfulness to create a holistic approach to counseling.
Alexandria obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Alexandria has provided services within a wide range of settings including non-profit organizations, private practice settings, and intensive residential treatment. She has worked with individuals experiencing homelessness, women and children survivors of domestic violence and women with opioid use disorder, providing group and individual therapeutic services.
Alexandria is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (77618) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Alexandria believes in joining alongside the client and empowering them to find it within themselves to find the strengths that will allow them to make the changes they are looking for!
