Dr. Kelsey Beers earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Marshall University, an APA-accredited and university-affiliated program which focuses on generalized mental health training for underserved populations. She completed her doctoral internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas. Her areas of training include forensic assessments, crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments, psychodiagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy, and treatment with various populations (e.g., sexual offenses, substance abuse). She has previously worked with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice, outpatient behavioral health centers, university counseling centers, and prisons/detention centers. Dr. Beers is currently seeking licensure as a clinical psychologist in the state of Texas, and is practicing under the supervision of a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist.
