Julie Trevino, LCSW

When working with my client I try to bring compassionate approach to my therapy that builds on extensive experience with psychoanalysis, psychodynamics, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, play therapy, and group therapy. I have been deeply fortunate to work with culturally and socially diverse populations and can adapt to unique client needs. I incorporate both my training and elements of my own analytical approach to help others find hope and meaning in their lives.

More specifically I can assist with diagnostic assessments, client awareness and understanding of their symptoms, alleviating the impact of particular issues clients face, and formulating goals in collaboration with clients. I also help clients manage stress and develop coping skills.

My career spans over twenty-five years working with a broad range of clients including children, adolescents, adults, geriatric populations, individuals facing complex end-of-life issues, and others facing severe mental health challenges. I have provided these services in multiple contexts, including inpatient, outpatient psychiatric and medical settings, schools, medical clinics, hospitals, residential treatment centers for children and adolescents, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, and hospices.
